Australia’s water heating sector was under growing threat. Poorly designed subsidies favoured imported systems, undermining local manufacturers and introducing safety risks.

We repositioned water heating from an invisible household utility into a national issue of safety, jobs and sovereign capability, creating pressure across media, public opinion and government, even during an election cycle.

Media scrutiny drove regulatory action across NSW and Victoria, including compliance crackdowns and incentives for Australian-made systems. AWHM is now shaping the next phase of policy design.
